Skin toners are now a pivotal step in a skincare routine. Previously they have been harsh formulas that tended to strip the skin. Now, skin toners are formulated with nourishing and moisturizing ingredients that prep the skin for the rest of your skincare. There are a lot of skin toners on the market right now, but you can rest assured that Aloette has created nothing but the best for you. When shopping for skincare it is always important to remember that every person’s skin is different and needs different treatment. That’s why we have five different skin toners created with different skin types in mind.

Oil Control Toner: Oily, Combination, and Acne Prone Skin

Our Oil Control Toner is great for use on oily, combination, and acne prone skin. Our Aloeganic Aloe Vera and oat amino acids nourish problem skin and reduce the signs of aging, Witch Hazel and rosemary extracts act as highly effective astringents, deep cleaning pores of excess oil and impurities. Witch Hazel is not always best for every skin type, but those with oily skin often find that it seems to reduce the appearance of pores that typically appear larger. The addition of passionflower, lime peel, grapefruit and willow bark extracts provide mild exfoliation for a clean, clear, shine-free finish.

Skin Refining Toner: Normal and Combination skin 

Our Skin Refining Toner is great for normal to combination skin. These skin types are typically more prone to drying out and do not need the power of an astringent like Witch Hazel. Instead, we use ingredients that repair and calm the skin. This deep-cleaning toner removes all traces of makeup, dead surface cells and pore-clogging impurities without drying out the skin or using harsh ingredients. It uses our nourishing Aloeganic Aloe Vera and amino acids to nourish the skin, green tea extracts to help combat free radicals for a revitalized, age-defying effect. 

Be Balanced Daily Refining Tonic: Oily, Acne Prone, and Combination Skin 

Our Be Balance Daily Refining Tonic is ideal for oily, combination, and acne prone skin. This product contains Witch Hazel and Lactic Acid to keep the pores clean and clear of problem-causing irritants and impurities while Vitamin B and Salicylic Acid calm irritated, blemish-prone skin. Be Balanced has an extra level of skin soothing Aloeganic Aloe Vera and Peppermint Oil for results you can see and an experience you will love.

Sensitive Skin Toner: Sensitive and Dry Skin

If you suffer from sensitive or dry skin, this is definitely the skin toner for you. Loaded with calming and moisturizing ingredients such as cucumber, chamomile and Aloeganic Aloe Vera this formula works to gently remove excess oils and pore-clogging impurities. It also includes vitamin B5, calcium complex and citric acid to encourage healthy cell renewal for a brighter, fresher, age-defying finish. You should never have to sacrifice overall skin health for sensitivity!

Pure Radiance Bioactive Mist: All Skin Types 

This is one of our must-haves at all times and it is formulated for all skin types! Our Pure Radiance Bioactive Mist is an alcohol-free skin toner designed to balance, tone and firm. Containing Kombucha mushroom extract and Aloette’s proprietary Lumitone Complex, this unique blend of toning and treatment works to increase resiliency, firmness and brilliance. Trying to find the right products for your skin can be a daunting task but what do you do once you have them? How do you know the right order to apply them in so that they work properly? It is important to take skincare one step at a time (literally.) We’re here to help you figure out where to start with a beginners guide to skincare, starting with a simple routine that you can follow in the morning or evening. 

1. Makeup Removing and Cleansing: This is a step you absolutely can’t skip. You can’t apply your other products without a clean surface to allow them to absorb. We recommend double cleansing and removing your makeup with a cleansing oil or a makeup remover. Next, you can follow with your face wash of choice. 

2. Toner: Toners are often overlooked as an unnecessary step in skincare, but they can truly kick your routine up a notch. After your face is cleansed, you should apply your toner. Think of a toner as a primer to help absorb the rest of your skincare steps. They can also additionally help to remove any impurities or excess oils that your cleansing didn’t catch. 

3. Eye Cream: Many people use eye cream as their final step but it can actually be more effective if you apply it before your moisturizers. A good rule to remember is to apply your products from thinnest to thickest texture. When you apply your eye cream or eye serum last, it has a better chance at really absorbing into your skin since a layer of heavy creams can tend to keep lighter substances from making their way through. 

4. Serums and Treatments: Serums are such an important part of your skincare process and once you find the right one for your skin it can really make a difference. Again, following the rule of texture, apply your serums and treatments before you apply your moisturizing cream. 

5. Moisturizers: Finally, the last step is to apply your moisturizer. Whether it be AM or PM, moisturizing is key! Aside from hydrating the skin, moisturizer helps to seal in all of  your products that you have already applied and allows them to be as effective as possible.
