“My FAVORITE product by far is the Stay Pure Acne Treatment Lotion! This acne treatment works better than anything I have ever tried on pesky zits and blemishes, and it is also non-drying thanks to the Aloe Vera! Zits disappear overnight without any flaking or redness. I keep one in my makeup bag at all times!”

Stick Shift

“This is my go-to facial exfoliator that I use several times a week. I love how the formula lathers on wet skin. There are small physical exfoliators (diatomaceous earth) that polish effectively and never feel abrasive or irritating. My skin texture is noticeably smoother after every use. It’s also great for travel or for the gym!”

Ageless Science System

“My current favorite is the Ageless Science System. I keep both pieces in my skincare fridge and they are so cooling and soothing plus super hydrating without feeling heavy. I’ve really noticed a difference in the skin around my eyes and on my cheekbones. It appears a lot firmer and smoother after just a few weeks. I love to use this product with my jade roller as well.”

A-List Lash Mascara

 

“One of my favorite products that I am using a lot right now is the A-List Lash Mascara! It is such a great formula and it makes my lashes look amazing. I love that it doesn’t go on clumpy or stick together on my lashes. I also notice that my eyelashes look healthier when I am regularly using A-List as opposed to other mascaras that I own. It’s quickly become one of my favorite mascaras that I’ve ever tried. It is a must have!”

An oily skin type can be one of the most difficult to work with when it comes to skincare routines. Toner: Oil Control Toner

Our key ingredients in this toner are Aloe Vera, Rosemary Extract, and Witch Hazel. The Aloe and Rosemary add a special level of soothing and nourishing antioxidants. For some skin types Witch Hazel can be an ingredient to avoid. However, for oily and breakout prone skin types it can be a game changer. Today we are discussing several common questions about our leading ingredient. 

What is it? 

Aloe Vera is a succulent that is often described as a “wonder plant” because of its many calming properties and antioxidant qualities. It is most commonly known for its ability to aid in the healing of burns and overall soothing power. For many years though, Aloe Vera has been used for various other medicinal purposes and now it is also found in skincare and cosmetics. 

Why is it good for my skin? 

We truly believe in the many benefits of Aloe Vera on the skin and we think that it is important that you know them too!

  • It is incredibly calming and soothing which makes it a perfect ingredient for all skin types, but especially sensitive skin.
  • Because the Aloe Vera plant contains mostly water, it is very hydrating. Hydrated skin is healthy skin!
  • Aloe Vera is great for aiding in the healing process of breakouts. Who doesn’t want to get rid of pesky blemishes and dark spots?

Beginners Guide to Skincare: What Order Should I Apply My Products?

Trying to find the right products for your skin can be a daunting task but what do you do once you have them? How do you know the right order to apply them in so that they work properly? It is important to take skincare one step at a time (literally.) We’re here to help you figure out where to start with a beginners guide to skincare, starting with a simple routine that you can follow in the morning or evening. 

                                                                                                                                                             

1. Makeup Removing and Cleansing: This is a step you absolutely can’t skip. You can’t apply your other products without a clean surface to allow them to absorb. We recommend double cleansing and removing your makeup with a cleansing oil or a makeup remover. Next, you can follow with your face wash of choice. 

2. Toner: Toners are often overlooked as an unnecessary step in skincare, but they can truly kick your routine up a notch. After your face is cleansed, you should apply your toner. Think of a toner as a primer to help absorb the rest of your skincare steps. They can also additionally help to remove any impurities or excess oils that your cleansing didn’t catch. 

3. Eye Cream: Many people use eye cream as their final step but it can actually be more effective if you apply it before your moisturizers. A good rule to remember is to apply your products from thinnest to thickest texture. When you apply your eye cream or eye serum last, it has a better chance at really absorbing into your skin since a layer of heavy creams can tend to keep lighter substances from making their way through. 

4. Serums and Treatments: Serums are such an important part of your skincare process and once you find the right one for your skin it can really make a difference. Again, following the rule of texture, apply your serums and treatments before you apply your moisturizing cream. 

5. Moisturizers: Finally, the last step is to apply your moisturizer. Whether it be AM or PM, moisturizing is key! Aside from hydrating the skin, moisturizer helps to seal in all of  your products that you have already applied and allows them to be as effective as possible.
